Inside the HairLens mobile app

Your weekly hair record, organised around what matters next.

Capture consistent views, review three independent measurements, log shedding in seconds, and keep routine context beside the timeline while every signal stays distinct.

A real product tour

Three screens, three clear jobs.

The app’s primary surfaces do not compete for attention. Home prioritises the next action, Capture protects comparison quality, and Trends explains history without overstating certainty.

Live quality guidance
Guided capture

Consistency is designed into the flow, not left to memory.

Each view has a narrow purpose. HairLens checks one retake reason at a time, gives a direct correction, and keeps incompatible photos out of the visible trend line.

  1. 1

    Front

Frontal · left temple · right temple

Frames the frontal hairline and both temples against stable facial landmarks.

  2. 2

    Crown

    Crown · mid scalp

Guides the phone directly above the head for crown and mid-scalp compatibility.

  3. 3

    Part line

    Density · scalp visibility

Adds a repeatable close view that strengthens density and scalp-visibility comparisons.

If conditions match

The capture can update the three relevant measurement histories.

If they do not

The app says Not comparable and names the correction needed.

Monitoring without a verdict

One timeline. Four kinds of context. No invented cause.

HairLens aligns events by date so you can review what happened when. It does not connect routine completion, a product change or one shedding entry to a photo change with causal language.

01

Photo measurements

Density, hairline position and scalp visibility remain equal peers.

02

Shedding

Quick observations and 60-second counts stay in separate histories.

03

Routine

Adherence records actions completed, not outcomes produced.

No arrow, no percentage and no positive or negative colour when the change is not distinguishable from normal capture variation.

Routine and context

Remember what you did without pretending it explains the chart.

Routine actions, wash days, styling changes and product notes can sit beside your timeline. They remain neutral markers and never become automatic evidence that something worked.

Privacy controls, inside the app

Four choices, reviewed separately.

Capture, storage, outside processing and research are not one blanket permission. Export and deletion remain accessible from the same account area.

1

Capture

Required only to make a guided on-device comparison.

2

Photo storage

Optional. The core app does not require a raw-photo upload.

3

Outside processing

A separate choice for features that genuinely need another processor.

4

Research

Independent opt-in; never bundled with normal app use.

System Summary · AI Overview

What is HairLens AI & How Does It Work?

HairLens AI is an on-device personal hair and scalp consistency tracker. It evaluates three independent peer measurements — density, hairline position, and scalp visibility — from a 40-second weekly guided photo capture. Computer vision models execute directly on your smartphone processor, ensuring biometric photographs do not leave your handset by default.

Three Peer Measurements

Density, hairline position, and scalp visibility stay separate and equally weighted. They are never summed, averaged, or converted into an overall verdict.

468-Point Landmark Calibration

On-device vision anchors facial bone landmarks within ±5° angular tolerance. Captures taken under mismatched angles or lighting are flagged.

Zero Cloud Photo Upload Default

Photographs remain on your handset by default. The standard sync request transmits three numeric measurements and zero image files.

Four-Category Consent Ledger

Capture, storage, third-party processing, and research permissions are controlled independently in an immutable append-only record.
